I took my best friend to Public & General while she was in Gainesville visiting. My former boss had told me to check this place out about a year ago, and I never got the chance to.

I finally went, and I loved it! I love dark, hipster, aesthetic places where they serve your food on cool plates and have funky chairs. My boss knows me, so she really hit the nail on the head.

We split a sandwich (turkey, horseradish, cheese, mushrooms and lettuce) along with dill french fries and a side of tomato mayo. I am a huge mayonnaise fanatic, as weird as that is. But this tomato mayo on my dill fries was perfection. The sandwich and fries were definitely big enough to split among two girls.

I can't wait to go back and try their charcuterie and cheese platters.
