Lake Wauberg

Lake Wauberg is a lake open to all UF students and their friends. All you need is your Gator 1 card and some sunscreen. It is completely free and fun thing to do, especially with all the beautiful weather we get here. 

The Lake offers all sorts of activities like sailboating, canoeing and kayaking. There's also a rock climbing wall, picnic area with grills, where the sand meets the water and a beach volleyball court. It's so much fun to load up the car and have an eventful day with friends or on a date. This place is next to Paynes Prairie so it is only a short drive from the UF campus area.

I cannot express how much fun I had taking my boyfriend at the time to this lake. We rented canoes and got our exercise in. The water was beautiful and the sun felt so good. Afterward, we ate some snacks and sandwiches that we packed before we raced each other to the top of the rock climbing wall.
